Mandelic acid belongs to the group of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA acids), with exfoliating, antibacterial and anti-aging effects. It has the highest molecular weight among AHAs, which guarantees gentle and safe action and even penetration into the skin. Mandelic acid has a two-way effect. On the one hand, it regulates cell renewal, exfoliating the outer layers of the epidermis, thus improving the structure and color of the skin and has an anti-wrinkle effect. On the other hand, it has a strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect - it soothes skin inflammation and acne lesions. In addition, almond acid affects the production of hyaluronic acid in the skin, provides firming and long-lasting skin hydration.
